Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Compound Butter

In a small bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic, chopped fresh herbs, salt, and pepper. Form into a log, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate until firm.

  2. 2

    Cook the Potatoes

Boil the potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly before slicing.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add mixed seasonal vegetables and sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. 4

    Cook the Flat Iron Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over high heat. Season the steak with salt and pepper. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

  5. 5

    Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and serve with sautéed vegetables and sliced potatoes, topped with a pat of the compound butter.
