Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Preheat the grill to medium-high. Slice the black pudding into rounds and prepare the sausages by pricking them with a fork to prevent bursting during cooking.

  2. 2

    Slow Roast Tomatoes

Toss cherry tomatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Place them on a baking tray and roast in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes until they are soft and slightly caramelized.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Grill the Bacon and Sausages

Place the streaky bacon and sausages on the grill. Cook the bacon for about 5-7 minutes on each side until crispy, and the sausages for about 12-15 minutes until thoroughly cooked.

  2. 4

    Cook the Black Pudding

In the last few minutes of cooking the bacon and sausages, add the black pudding rounds to the grill. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until warmed through and slightly crispy.

  3. 5

    Fry the Eggs

In a frying pan, add a little olive oil and fry the Cacklebean eggs to your preferred doneness (sunny side up, over easy, etc.) for about 3-4 minutes.

  4. 6

    Toast the Sourdough

While the eggs are frying, toast the sourdough bread until golden brown.

Plating

  1. 7

    Assemble the Plate

On a large plate, arrange the grilled bacon, sausages, black pudding, slow-roasted tomatoes, and fried eggs. Serve with the toasted sourdough on the side. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
