Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and your choice of spices for added heat. Dredge the chicken in flour, dip it in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- 2
Cook the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Fry the breaded chicken breasts for about 5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a baking sheet and place in the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
- 3
Prepare the Toppings
While the chicken is baking, slice the red onion and prepare the dill pickles. Set aside.
- 4
Assemble the Sandwich
Once the chicken is done, remove from the oven and top each piece with a slice of provolone cheese. Allow it to melt slightly. Toast the sourdough buns until golden brown.
