Fried Ice Cream Ingredients
Method
Fried Ice Cream Directions
- 1
Prepare the Ice Cream
Scoop out 4 balls of vanilla ice cream and place them on a baking sheet. Freeze them for at least 2 hours until solid.
- 2
Make the Batter
In a bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, cinnamon, and sugar. Gradually add ice water until a smooth batter forms.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Ice Cream
Remove the ice cream from the freezer. Dip each scoop into the batter, ensuring it is well-coated. Carefully place the coated ice cream into the hot oil and fry for about 10-15 seconds until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Prepare Tortilla Bowls
While the ice cream is frying, shape the tortillas into bowls by pressing them into a bowl-shaped mold and baking them at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes or until crispy.
- 6
Assemble the Dish
Place the fried ice cream into the tortilla bowl and drizzle with chocolate and caramel syrup to taste.
