    Prepare the Sourdough

    Spread butter on the outer sides of each sourdough bun.

    Assemble the Sandwich

    On the inside of the buns, spread Dijon mustard. Layer with Swiss cheese, Havarti cheese, cherrywood smoked ham, and thinly sliced apple.

    Toast the Sandwich

    Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.

    Serve

    Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, cut in half if desired, and serve warm.
