Chicken Marinade

Sandwich Assembly

Method

Marinate the Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, combine paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Chicken

Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts. Drizzle olive oil over the chicken, ensuring it is well-coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Cook the Chicken

  1. 3

    Preheat the Skillet

Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until it is very hot.

  2. 4

    Cook the Chicken

Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it in the hot skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is blackened and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).

Assemble the Sandwich

  1. 5

    Prepare the Tomato

Slice the tomato into even rounds.

  2. 6

    Toast the Rolls

In the same skillet, lightly toast the potato rolls until golden brown.

  3. 7

    Build the Sandwich

Place a piece of blackened chicken on the bottom half of each roll. Top with a slice of American cheese, a leaf of romaine lettuce, and a slice of tomato. Place the top half of the roll on the sandwich.

Serve

  1. 8

    Prepare the French Fries

Cook French fries according to package instructions until crispy.

  2. 9

    Serve the Dish

Serve the blackened chicken sandwiches hot alongside a generous portion of French fries.
