Pancake Preparation
- 1
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 tsp of baking powder, and 1 tsp of salt. Whisk together until well combined.
- 2
Combine Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup of milk, 2 large eggs, and 1 cup of maple syrup until fully blended.
- 3
Melt Butter
In a small saucepan, melt 1 stick of butter over low heat. Once melted, add to the wet ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture. Stir gently until just combined; do not overmix. The batter should be slightly lumpy.
- 5
Heat Pan
Preheat a griddle or frying pan over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.
- 6
Cook Pancakes
Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the heated griddle for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges begin to look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Repeat with remaining batter.
