Preparation Instructions

1

Melt the Chocolate

In a medium heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and butter. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) and stir until melted and smooth. Remove from heat.

2

Make the Ganache

In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just boiling. Pour the hot cream over the melted chocolate and butter mixture. Stir until fully combined and smooth. Add the Tennessee whiskey and powdered sugar, mixing until well incorporated.

3

Chill the Mixture

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the ganache for about 2 hours, or until firm enough to scoop.

4

Form the Truffles

Once the ganache is firm, use a melon baller or your hands to scoop out small amounts of the mixture and roll them into balls. If desired, roll some truffles in chopped pecans for added texture.

5

Coat the Truffles

Roll each truffle in cocoa powder until fully coated. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

6

Serve

Refrigerate the truffles until ready to serve. Enjoy your Tennessee truffles as a delightful end to your whiskey dinner!
