Fresh Mushroom & Swiss Burger Ingredients

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mushroom Mixture

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are tender and browned, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

In the same skillet, cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  4. 4

    Add the Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty to melt.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the burger buns if desired. On each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, some of the mushroom mixture, and a slice of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the burgers immediately with your favorite side dishes.
