Burger Preparation

Prepare the Patties
In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.

Cook the Patties
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to help the cheese melt.

Prepare the Buns
Toast the burger buns in the skillet for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Assemble the Burger
Place the cooked patties with melted cheese on the bottom half of the buns. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles. Place the top half of the buns on.
