Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer.
- 2
Bake the Crust
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, then remove it and let it cool while you prepare the filling.
- 3
Make the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in the sugar, sour cream, and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed until just blended.
- 4
Combine and Pour
Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust, spreading it evenly.
- 5
Bake the Cheesecake
Bake in the oven for approximately 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.
- 6
Chill and Serve
Remove the cheesecake from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Once chilled, remove from the springform pan, slice, and serve.
