Method
Cooking Noodles
Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tsp of salt to the water.
Cook Noodles
Once the water is boiling, add 8 oz of Lomein noodles. Cook according to package instructions, usually about 4-5 minutes, until al dente.
Drain Noodles
After cooking, drain the noodles in a colander and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
Preparing Vegetables
Slice Vegetables
While the noodles are cooking, peel and julienne the carrot. Slice the bell pepper into thin strips. Chop the green onions and set them aside. Trim the ends of the snow peas.
Making Sauce
Prepare Sauce
In a small bowl, mix together 3 tbs of soy sauce, 1 tbs of sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir well to combine.
Combining Ingredients
Stir-fry Vegetables
In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced carrots, bell peppers, and snow peas. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
Add Noodles and Sauce
Add the cooked Lomein noodles to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the sauce over the noodles and toss everything together to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and chili flakes if desired. Serve hot as a side dish.
