Brewing the Tea

Boil Water
In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Steep Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 2 tsp of green tea leaves or 2 tea bags. Cover and let it steep for 2-3 minutes.

Strain or Remove Tea Bags
If using loose tea leaves, strain the tea into a teapot or cup to remove the leaves. If using tea bags, simply remove them from the cup.
Adding Optional Ingredients

Sweeten if Desired
If desired, stir in 1 tbsp of honey for sweetness, adjusting to taste.

Add Lemon
Add 1 tsp of lemon juice for a refreshing citrus flavor.

Garnish with Mint
Add 5 mint leaves for an extra refreshing touch.
Serving

Serve Hot or Iced
Serve the green tea hot or let it cool and pour over ice for a refreshing iced tea option.
