Buttermilk Fried Chicken Ingredients
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
Place the boneless chicken breasts in a large bowl. Pour the buttermilk over the chicken, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
- 2
Prepare the Coating
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Coat the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, ensuring it is fully coated. Shake off any excess flour.
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully place the coated chicken breasts in the hot oil. Fry for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
