Seafood Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Shrimp
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink. Drain and cool, then peel and devein the shrimp.
- 2
Prepare the Oysters
Clean the oysters thoroughly under cold running water. Serve them raw on the half shell or steam them lightly for 2-3 minutes.
- 3
Cook the Lobster Tails
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the lobster tails and cook for about 8-10 minutes until they are bright red. Remove, cool, and slice them in half lengthwise.
- 4
Prepare the King Crab Legs
If using frozen king crab legs, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight. Steam for 5-7 minutes or until heated through. Crack the legs for easy serving.
- 5
Cook the Mussels
In a large pot, add 1 cup of water and bring to a boil. Add the mussels and cover. Steam for about 5-7 minutes until the mussels open. Discard any that do not open.
Assembly
- 6
Arrange the Seafood
On a large serving platter or a tiered seafood tower, start by arranging the shrimp, oysters, lobster tails, crab legs, and mussels artistically.
- 7
Add Sauces and Garnishes
Place small bowls of cocktail sauce, melted garlic butter, and lemon wedges around the seafood. Sprinkle fresh parsley over the seafood for garnish.
