Method
Preparing the Salmon
- 1
Preheat and Prepare
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2
Marinate the Salmon
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and brush the mixture over the top. Sprinkle fresh dill on top if desired.
- 3
Bake the Salmon
Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
Preparing the Chips
- 4
Cut the Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thick strips to resemble chips.
- 5
Soak the Chips
Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes. This helps to remove excess starch and makes the chips crispier.
- 6
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 7
- 8
Drain and Season
Remove the chips with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with salt while they are still hot.
