Season the Halibut
Sprinkle the Alaskan halibut fillets with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Allow them to marinate for 15 minutes.

Make the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually whisk in the cold water until smooth. The batter should be thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.

Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Halibut
Dip each marinated halibut fillet into the batter, allowing excess to drip off. Carefully place the fillet in the hot oil and fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Fry the Shrimp
Dip the seasoned shrimp into the batter and fry in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until they turn pink and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
