Method
Preparing the Lime Crema
- 1
Make the Lime Crema
In a small bowl, combine 0.5 cup of sour cream, 2 tablespoons of lime juice, 1 minced garlic clove, and 0.25 teaspoon of salt. Mix well until smooth. Adjust seasoning if needed and set aside.
Cooking the Halibut
- 2
Cook the Halibut
In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Season the 1 pound of halibut fillets with 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 0.5 teaspoon of salt, and 0.25 teaspoon of black pepper. Once the oil is hot, add the halibut fillets to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before flaking into smaller pieces.
Assembling the Tacos
- 3
Assemble the Tacos
Warm the 3 corn tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable. To assemble, place a portion of the flaked halibut on each tortilla, top with 1 cup of shredded cabbage, and sprinkle with 0.25 cup of chopped fresh cilantro. Drizzle with the prepared lime crema. Serve immediately.
