Peel and devein the black tiger shrimp, leaving the tails intact. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Whisk together until evenly mixed.

Gradually add the ice cold water to the dry ingredients while whisking until a smooth, thick batter forms. Let the batter rest for about 10 minutes.

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Dip each shrimp into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated.
