Voodoo Shrimp Ingredients
Method
Voodoo Shrimp Preparation
Prepare the Shrimp
In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Dip each shrimp into the buttermilk, then coat it with the flour mixture. Set aside.
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
Fry the Shrimp
Carefully add the coated shrimp to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Make the Voodoo Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, Sriracha sauce, and minced garlic until well combined.
Toss the Shrimp
In a large mixing bowl, combine the fried shrimp with the Voodoo sauce and toss to coat evenly.
Garnish and Serve
Transfer the shrimp to a serving platter, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve hot.
