Ingredients for Fried Crab Claws
Method
Directions for Preparing Fried Crab Claws
Preparation of Crab Claws
Rinse the crab claws under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
Breading Station
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour mixed with salt, pepper, and paprika; one with beaten eggs and milk; and the last with cornmeal.
Heating the Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Frying the Crab Claws
Carefully add the breaded crab claws to the hot oil, working in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
Draining Excess Oil
Remove the fried crab claws using a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serving
Serve hot with cocktail sauce on the side for dipping.
