Prepare the Glass
Begin by chilling an old fashioned glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail.

Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing glass, combine the Sazerac Rye, Praline Pecan Liqueur, brown sugar simple syrup, and Angostura bitters. Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir for about 30 seconds until well chilled.

Prepare the Glass
Discard the ice water from the old fashioned glass and add fresh ice cubes.

Strain the Cocktail
Strain the mixed cocktail into the prepared old fashioned glass over the fresh ice.

Express the oils from the orange twist over the drink and drop it in as a garnish. Finally, add the Luxardo cherry on top.
