Braised Short Rib

Method

Braised Short Rib

  1. 1

    Prepare the Short Ribs

Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Season short ribs with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Sear the Ribs

In a large oven-safe pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the short ribs on all sides until browned. Remove and set aside.

  3. 3

    Sauté Vegetables

In the same pot, add onion, carrot, celery, and garlic. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Braise

Return the short ribs to the pot, add beef broth, red wine, and bay leaves. Bring to a simmer, cover, and transfer to the oven. Cook for 2-3 hours until tender.

Grilled Tako

  1. 5

    Prepare the Octopus

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Coat the octopus in this mixture and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 6

    Grill the Tako

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated octopus for about 3-4 minutes on each side until charred and cooked through.

Luau Cream Sauce

  1. 7

    Make the Sauce

In a bowl, blend together coconut cream, softened cream cheese, green onions, lime juice, garlic powder, and salt until smooth. Adjust seasoning as needed.

Tomato Poke

  1. 8

    Combine Ingredients

In a bowl, mix diced tomatoes, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, sea salt, and black sesame seeds. Let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
