Shrimp and Marinade
Skewers
Method
Preparation
- 1
Soak the wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent them from burning on the grill.
- 2
In a large bowl, combine the oyster sauce, minced garlic, tamarind paste, chopped lemongrass, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create the marinade.
- 3
Add the shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Grilling
- 4
Prepare the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- 5
Skewer the Shrimp
Thread the marinated shrimp onto the soaked wooden skewers, about 4-5 shrimp per skewer.
- 6
Grill the Skewers
Place the shrimp skewers on the grill. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- 7
Serve
Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a minute before serving. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce or side.
