Main Ingredients
Riz bi Sharieh (Rice with Vermicelli)
Method
Preparing the Rice
Cook the Rice
In a pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add vermicelli noodles and sauté until golden brown. Add the basmati rice and salt, then stir to combine. Pour in water and bring to a boil. Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and set aside.
Cooking the Prawns
Sauté the Prawns
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the jumbo prawns, salt, and black pepper, cooking until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in olives and cherry tomatoes, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the tomatoes are soft. Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley.
Serving
Plate the Dish
