Waffle Fry Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Preparing the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into waffle fry shapes using a waffle fry cutter or a knife.

  2. 2

    Soaking the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This will help them become crispier when fried.

  3. 3

    Drying the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a kitchen towel to remove as much moisture as possible.

  4. 4

    Heating the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Frying the Waffle Fryz

Carefully add the dried waffle fries to the hot oil in batches, frying them for about 4-6 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  6. 6

    Seasoning

Remove the fried waffle fryz from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. While they are still hot, sprinkle with salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper to taste.

  7. 7

    Serving

Toss the waffle fryz with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley before serving.
