Directions
- 1
Prepare the Cheddar Biscuit
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and cheddar cheese. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the milk until just combined. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead gently before rolling out to about 1-inch thickness. Cut out biscuits and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- 2
Fry the Brined Chicken
Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Season the brined chicken breasts with black pepper. Fry the chicken for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the oil and let drain on paper towels.
- 3
Prepare Spicy Honey Butter
In a small bowl, mix softened butter, honey, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt until well blended.
- 4
Assemble the Dish
Slice the biscuits in half and place a piece of fried chicken on each biscuit half. Spread a generous amount of spicy honey butter on top and garnish with chopped green onions.
