Wings
Method
Wings
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl.
- 2
Coat the Wings
In a separate bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, Cajun seasoning, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle this mixture over the chicken wings and toss until they are evenly coated.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C). Use a thermometer to check the temperature for accuracy.
- 4
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the coated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, being cautious not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon to remove the wings and drain them on paper towels.
- 5
Make the Hot Sauce Butter Mixture
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, stir in the hot sauce until well combined.
- 6
Toss the Wings
In a large bowl, drizzle the hot sauce mixture over the fried wings and toss to coat evenly.
- 7
Serve
Transfer the wings to a serving platter and serve hot. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauces.
