Brewing Process

  1. 1

    Prepare Your Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients listed above and ensure they are fresh and ready for use.

  2. 2

    Boil the Water

In a large pot, bring 12 oz of water to a rolling boil.

  3. 3

    Add Barley Malt and Hops

Once the water is boiling, add 1 cup of barley malt and 0.5 oz of hops to the pot. Stir well and let it boil for about 10 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Corn Syrup

After 10 minutes, add 0.25 cup of corn syrup to the mixture and continue boiling for another 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Cool the Mixture

After boiling, remove the pot from heat and cool the mixture quickly to around 70°F (21°C). This can be done by placing the pot in an ice bath.

  6. 6

    Add Yeast

Once cooled, add 1 tsp of yeast to the mixture and stir gently to combine. This will begin the fermentation process.

  7. 7

    Fermentation

Transfer the mixture to a fermentation vessel. Seal it and let it ferment at room temperature for 1 to 2 weeks.

  8. 8

    Bottling

After fermentation is complete, carefully bottle the beer using a siphon to avoid disturbing the sediment. Allow it to condition for another week.

  9. 9

    Serve and Enjoy

Once the beer has conditioned, chill it in the fridge, pour into a glass, and enjoy your homemade Budweiser.
