Preparing the Broth

Make the Prawn Broth
In a large pot, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic cloves (minced) and onion (diced) and sauté until the onion is translucent.

Add Water and Prawns
Add 4 cups of water and the prawns to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for about 15 minutes until the prawns are cooked through.

Strain the Broth
Remove the prawns and strain the broth to remove any solids. Set the broth aside and peel the prawns, chopping them into bite-sized pieces.

Finish the Soup
Add the chopped zucchini and the reserved prawns back into the pot. Cook for an additional 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

Ladle the hot soup into bowls and serve it with the prepared garnish on the side: diced onion, tomatoes, cilantro, avocado, and lime wedges.
