Method

Preparation of Protein

  1. 1

    Marinate the Protein

In a bowl, combine the chicken or beef with fajita seasoning. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Protein

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated chicken or beef for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until fully cooked. Remove from heat and let it rest before slicing into strips.

Preparation of Vegetables

  1. 3

    Slice the Vegetables

Thinly slice the green bell pepper and onion.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet over medium heat, add a little oil and sauté the sliced bell pepper and onion until tender, about 5-7 minutes.

Assembling the Burrito

  1. 5

    Warm the Tortillas

Warm the flour tortillas on a skillet or in the microwave for about 20 seconds until pliable.

  2. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

On each tortilla, spread about 1/4 cup of refried beans, followed by 1/4 cup of cooked rice, grilled chicken or beef strips, sautéed vegetables, and 1/4 cup of burrito sauce.

  3. 7

    Add Toppings

Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, then add guacamole and sour cream.

  4. 8

    Wrap the Burrito

Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top to form a burrito.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve the Burrito

Cut the burrito in half and serve with extra burrito sauce, guacamole, and sour cream on the side.
