Prepare the Burrito Filling

Cook the Beans
If using canned black beans, rinse and drain them. If using dried beans, soak them overnight and cook according to package instructions.

Prepare the Rice
Cook the rice according to package instructions. You can use white, brown, or any preferred variety.

In a large bowl, combine the black beans, cooked rice, shredded cheddar cheese, and shredded lettuce. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
