Chicken Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine the chicken breast strips, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator for enhanced flavor.
- 2
Charbroil the Chicken
Preheat the grill or a charbroiler to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on the grill. Cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the chicken is nicely charred. Remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Salad Assembly
- 3
Prepare the Salad Base
In a large salad bowl, add the romaine lettuce. Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces for better texture.
- 4
Add Dressing
Pour the Caesar dressing over the romaine lettuce. Toss gently to ensure the lettuce is evenly coated with the dressing.
- 5
Top with Chicken and Cheese
Slice the charbroiled chicken into strips and place them on top of the dressed lettuce. Sprinkle the shredded Parmesan cheese generously over the salad.
- 6
Finish with Croutons
Add the seasoned croutons on top of the salad for a crunchy texture. Serve immediately while the chicken is still warm.
