Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients listed. Slice the cheddar cheese if it's a block.

2

Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

3

Season the Turkey

In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Spread this mixture on the turkey slices.

Assembly

4

Assemble the Hoagie

Cut the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise. Layer the turkey slices on the bottom half of each roll. Top with crispy bacon and then the cheddar cheese.

5

Melt the Cheese

In the same skillet used for the bacon, melt the butter over medium heat. Place the assembled hoagies in the skillet and cover with a lid. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.

Serving

6

Serve the Melt

Carefully remove the hoagies from the skillet. Cut in half if desired and serve warm.
