Method

Ice Cream Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Cream and Milk

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of heavy cream and 1 cup of whole milk. Whisk together until well blended.

  2. 2

    Add Sugar and Salt

Add 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar and a pinch of salt to the cream mixture. Whisk until the sugar is fully dissolved.

  3. 3

    Flavor the Base

For vanilla ice cream, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the mixture. For chocolate ice cream, add 0.5 cup of cocoa powder instead of vanilla extract. Stir well to incorporate.

  4. 4

    Chill the Mixture

Cover the bowl and refrigerate the ice cream base for at least 2 hours, or until it's thoroughly chilled.

  5. 5

    Churn the Ice Cream

Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

  6. 6

    Freeze the Ice Cream

Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

Serving

  1. 7

    Scoop and Serve

Once the ice cream is firm, scoop it into bowls or cones.

  2. 8

    Add Toppings

Sprinkle with your desired amount of sprinkles before serving.
