Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Beef

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with blackening seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the seasoned beef mixture into two equal parts and form them into burger patties, ensuring they are slightly larger than the burger buns since they will shrink while cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Buns

While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are golden brown.

Topping Assembly

  1. 5

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked burger patty. Top with blue cheese crumbles, crispy bacon strips, and a handful of onion straws. Add tomato slices if desired.

  3. 7

    Finalize the Burger

Place the top half of the bun over the assembled toppings. Press down gently to hold everything together.
