Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Grits

In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add 0.5 cup of grits and a pinch of salt. Reduce heat and simmer for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Taters

In a skillet, heat 1 tbs of butter over medium heat. Add the diced potatoes and cook until golden brown and tender, about 10-12 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Eggs

In a separate pan, cook the eggs to your liking (scrambled, fried, or poached). If frying, use a little butter or oil to prevent sticking.

  4. 4

    Cook the Bacon or Sausage

In another skillet, cook the bacon or sausage until crispy and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Flapjack

Cook the buttermilk flapjack on a griddle or non-stick skillet, following the package instructions or your favorite recipe. Keep warm.

  6. 6

    Serve

On a plate, serve the eggs alongside the bacon or sausage, taters, grits, and a piece of flapjack. Garnish with fresh fruit.
