Roast Strawberries
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread the strawberries on a baking sheet, sprinkle with half the sugar, and roast for 20 minutes until soft and juicy. Allow to cool.

Make Strawberry Ice Cream Base
In a blender, combine roasted strawberries (reserve a few for garnish), remaining sugar, heavy cream, and milk. Blend until smooth. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Churn Strawberry Ice Cream
Pour the chilled strawberry mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Once done, transfer to a container and freeze until firm.

Prepare Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
In a bowl, combine heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and seeds scraped from the vanilla bean. Mix well until sugar is dissolved. Chill for at least 2 hours.

Churn Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Pour the chilled vanilla mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Once done, transfer to a container and freeze until firm.

Prepare Blueberries
In a small bowl, toss blueberries with lemon juice and chopped basil. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.

Serve
In serving bowls, scoop both strawberry and vanilla bean ice cream. Top with blueberries and basil mixture, and garnish with reserved roasted strawberries. Enjoy your Red/White/Blue dessert!
