Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter until melted. Allow to cool slightly before adding to the dry ingredients. Add in the eggs and mix until a dough forms.

  2. 2

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Melt the butter for the filling and set aside.

  4. 4

    Roll Out the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

  5. 5

    Add Filling

Brush the dough with the melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the top.

  6. 6

    Roll and Cut

Starting from one edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.

  7. 7

    Second Rise

Cover the rolls with a clean towel and let them rise again for about 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  8. 8

    Bake

Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

  9. 9

    Make the Topping

In a bowl, beat together the powdered sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread over the warm rolls.
