Ranch Fried Chicken Ingredients
Method
Preparation Directions
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine buttermilk and ranch seasoning mix. Add the chicken breasts, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best flavor.
- 2
Prepare the Breading
In a separate bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Coat the Chicken
Remove the marinated chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, making sure to coat evenly.
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully place the coated chicken in the hot oil. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C). Drain on paper towels.
- 6
Assemble the Burger
Toast the brioche buns lightly. On the bottom half of each bun, layer lettuce, a fried chicken breast, sliced tomatoes, and pickles. Drizzle with ranch dressing and top with the other half of the bun.
