Method

Preparation of Shrimp

  1. 1

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Add the shrimp and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Shrimp

Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are opaque and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cooking Pasta

  1. 3

    Cook the Garganelli

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the garganelli pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Preparing Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce

  1. 4

    Make the Sauce

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute. Carefully pour in the vodka and let it reduce for about 2-3 minutes.

  2. 5

    Add Tomatoes and Cream

Stir in the crushed tomatoes and heavy cream. Season with salt and black pepper. Let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Add chopped basil before removing from heat.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 6

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked garganelli to the vodka tomato cream sauce and toss to combine. Add the grilled shrimp on top and serve immediately.
