Directions

1

Prepare the Ingredients

Wash the fresh spinach under cold running water to remove any dirt or grit. Drain well and set aside.

2

Mince the Garlic

Peel the garlic cloves and mince them finely using a knife or a garlic press.

3

Heat the Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.

4

Sauté the Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

5

Add the Spinach

Gradually add the washed spinach to the skillet, stirring continuously. It may seem like a lot at first, but it will wilt down significantly.

6

Season the Spinach

Once all the spinach is added, season with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Continue to stir until the spinach is wilted and tender, about 3-5 minutes.

7

Finish with Lemon Juice

Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle 1 tablespoon of lemon juice over the sautéed spinach. Toss well to combine.

8

Serve

Transfer the sautéed spinach to a serving dish and enjoy immediately as a nutritious side dish.
