Method

Protein Preparation

  1. 1

    Braised Beef

In a large pot, sear the beef on all sides over medium-high heat. Add onions, garlic, and beef broth. Cover and simmer for 2-3 hours until tender.

  2. 2

    Grilled Chicken

Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Grill over medium-high heat for about 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Slice into strips.

  3. 3

    Shrimp

Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Sauté in a pan over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque.

Fried Green Tomatoes

  1. 4

    Fry Tomatoes

Slice green tomatoes into 1/4 inch thick rounds. Set up a dredging station with flour, beaten eggs, and cornmeal. Dip tomatoes in flour, then eggs, then cornmeal. Heat oil in a skillet and fry tomatoes until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

Cilantro-Lime Slaw

  1. 5

    Prepare Slaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, grated carrot, chopped cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss well and let sit for 15 minutes to marinate.

Spicy Aioli

  1. 6

    Make Aioli

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth and adjust seasoning to taste.

Taco Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble Tacos

Warm corn tortillas in a skillet. Fill each tortilla with your choice of protein, top with fried green tomatoes, cilantro-lime slaw, and a drizzle of spicy aioli. Serve immediately.
