Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to ensure even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub each steak with olive oil and season generously with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper on both sides. Place a sprig of fresh rosemary on each steak for added flavor.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (approximately 450°F - 500°F or 232°C - 260°C). Ensure the grill grates are clean and lightly oiled.

  2. 4

    Grill the Steak

Place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the hot grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them to achieve good grill marks.

  3. 5

    Flip the Steak

Using tongs, flip the steaks and grill for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting the time for your preferred doneness.

  4. 6

    Rest the Steak

Once done, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest on a plate for 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Steak

Slice the ribeye steaks against the grain and serve them with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus, if desired.
