Tea Base

Raspberry Syrup

Method

Prepare Tea Base

1

Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

2

Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Let it steep for 5-7 minutes depending on your desired strength.

3

Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, remove the tea bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature.

Make Raspberry Syrup

4

Combine Ingredients

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of fresh raspberries, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of water.

5

Cook Mixture

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar has completely dissolved.

6

Simmer and Strain

Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Afterward, strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove the raspberry seeds, pressing down to extract all the juice.

Combine and Serve

7

Mix Tea and Syrup

In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea and raspberry syrup. Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and stir well.

8

Serve Over Ice

Fill glasses with ice cubes, then pour the raspberry iced tea over the ice.

9

Garnish

Garnish each glass with fresh raspberries and mint leaves for an extra refreshing touch.
