Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Cook Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare Meatballs and Sausage

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, half of the minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Form into small meatballs. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sausage (removed from casings) and cook until browned. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides.

  3. 3

    Make Sauce

In the same skillet, add remaining garlic and cook until fragrant. Stir in tomato sauce and bring to a simmer. Add cooked sausage and meatballs to the sauce and let simmer for 10-15 minutes.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, mix the cooked penne with the ricotta cheese and fresh basil. Pour the sauce with meatballs and sausage over the pasta and gently combine.

  5. 5

    Serve

Transfer the pasta to serving dishes and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
