Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Fettuccine

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bolognese Sauce

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the pancetta and cook until crispy. Add the chopped onion, carrot, and celery, and sauté until softened.

  3. 3

    Add the Meat and Aromatics

Stir in the ground beef and garlic, cooking until the beef is browned. Drain excess grease if necessary.

  4. 4

    Incorporate Tomato Ingredients

Add the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and red wine, then season with salt and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.

  5. 5

    Simmer the Sauce

Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  6. 6

    Combine and Serve

Toss the cooked fettuccine with the Bolognese sauce until well coated. Serve hot, topped with shaved parmesan and fresh basil.
