Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the cavatappi pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Sauté the Sausage and Shallots
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced Andouille sausage and cook until browned. Add the shallots and garlic, sautéing until the shallots are translucent.
- 3
Add Shrimp and Peas
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the frozen peas and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- 4
Make the Cajun Cream Sauce
Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning over the mixture and stir well. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring until combined. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes to thicken slightly.
- 5
Combine with Pasta
Add the cooked cavatappi pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together until the pasta is well coated in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 6
Serve
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your Shrimp and Andouille Cajun Pasta!
