Form the Patties
In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide into 4 equal portions and form into patties.

Cook the Burgers
Heat the skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.

Add Cheese and Bacon
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and sprinkle the crispy bacon on top. Cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

Assemble the Burgers
Toast the burger buns lightly. Place lettuce, tomato, and pickles on the bottom half of the bun. Add the burger patty with melted cheese and bacon, and top with the other half of the bun.

Serve
Serve the bacon cheddar burgers immediately with fries on the side.
