Cornbread Preparation

    Preheat the Oven

    Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Mix Dry Ingredients

    In a large bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

    Combine Wet Ingredients

    In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.

    Combine Mixtures

    Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.

    Pour the mixture into a greased 8-inch square baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
